About Save the Date Cards

Save the date cards are becoming very popular when planning a wedding. They are sent in advance of the wedding invitation to alert your potential guests of your wedding. They are a good idea if you are having a destination wedding or you are planning your day over a holiday season.

The best way to know how many save the date cards you will need is to put together a guest list and work out how many you will need. Not every guest needs to receive a save the date card, but you must send an invite to everyone who receives one.

All of our stationery designs are available in a co-ordinating Save the Date Card. The design matches your invitations but it is slightly smaller and simpler with the design. The wording in the card is very simple and usually informal, just containing the bride and grooms name along with the date and sometimes the venue if it is out of town. It can be useful to put some information in with the Save the Date card to help your guests with their planning like hotels, airports etc.
